A few weeks ago in a dinner party I ran into an old school colleague who I always admired for his intelligence. Gladly he still remains as smart if nor even more, now as a prominent banker. During dinner he recommended us all a book on probability and statistics subjects I could care less. As he spoke I got intrigued and by the time I came home I was ordering it online.
I just finished the book and I can only say it has been one of the best books I have ever read. Smart, intelligent and clear. I wish I could go have a coffee with the author. He taught me many things, among them how most success in our life is random and how our failures are also random.
I definitely recommend it ¨FOOLED by RANDOMNESS¨ by Nassim Taleb. Simply delightful, a pleasure.
