I have always had a love affair with cult-folk-mexican music and in my last trip to Mexico City I had to buy teh latest album of one of my favorites culty singers: Astrid Haddad who used to call her vocal group the Trazans. This new album called "OH-DIOSAS" has double meaning; Oh Goddesses and at the same time means snobish.
What I love about her are her outfits (who frequently inspire Jean Paul Gautier) and also her song lyrics who speak about the corruption in the government, about teh Uyankee imperialism and how most women feel against men. She is amazing!
In this Cd she managed to print abooklet with teh lyrics..IN ENGLISH!!! Which make absolutely no sense! but as she said this is Globalization.
Astrid: You are THE BEST!!! Bring your show to NYC, maybe some open minded non-republican gringos will go see you as well as me!
